This work looked at the process of how the vasculature is stimulated to promote gonad development. Cool found that the interstitial cells express Vegfa, which was reciprocated by the endothelial cells with PDGF-BB. Pertubation of this interaction resulted in the reduction of proliferation and improper morphology within the gonad.
